ABOUT US:
The Founder and a group of concerned mainstream and
Aboriginal professional community members formed the Spirit
Bear Center Society for the specific purpose of breaking the
cycle among Aboriginal Young Women from dependency on drugs
and alcohol and the effect of physical and sexual abuse an
alternative to the streets and suicide.

GOALS:
Youth have the right to live safe, healthy, and positive
lives away from negative influences.
The proposed culturally sensitive rehabilitation center is
to be a place where young women can come and learn to become
responsible for their own recovery.
Young woman will be given the proper level and quality of
treatment.
Spirit Bear Center is to provide for the social,
educational, spiritual healing, recreational, and artistic
needs of the Native woman who come to the center.
Goal of the center is to walk alongside young women so they
will be able to make positive changes in their lives.
